Great selection of Legos
Feb. 2020
During my travels always pick up a few gifts for the kids, was great to find Legos, not many places to find toys in Vanuatu but great to find them at this store!

Great duty free shop while on cruise
Jan. 2020
I have traveled many times to Pt Vila and found that Fung Kuei is an excellent shop to buy duty free especially duty free alcohol as well as other items. They have a great shoe and sport area up the stairs and beautiful people working there (well in all places of the shop). One great thing is that they pack your duty free (alcohol etc) and it is sent to the ship and you pick up the morning of departure (from the ship), great service highly recommended.

Best prices in the South Pacific
Jan. 2020
Fung Keui is being renovated at the moment, but the service is still excellent, the variety is beyond compare, and it's now our first stop every trip to Port Vila. Kevin and his family are really wonderful people..

The prices of alcohol at this place were amazing. Worth a visit. Other items were not as cheap eg. perfume etc.

Great alcohol selection, limited perfumes, friendly but hopeless staff.
Jan. 2020
A chinese run store (like so many in Port Vila). The staff really struggled with the payments. The alcohol is ridiculously cheap, and perfumes standard duty free prices. Much better perfume range at Paris Duty Free, but Fung Kuei has a larger range of alcohol. All gets paid for and bagged up at the store and you collect at the boarding gate of your flight. This was not explained to us as we paid - they simply pushed our goods to the side in a big pile and we hoped for the best that they would be bagged correctly after we left (they were).

Cheap and straightforward!
Dec. 2019
I hadn't actually intended to buy duty free alcohol in Vanuatu, but the prices at Fung Kuei are too cheap not to take advantage of. I got 3L of spirit (Gordons pink gin, Absolut Vodka, Johnnie Walker red label) for $49 AUD, which is crazy.

You select and pay in-store and they bring them to the airport for you - I collected about ten mins before I had to board, and the bottles and receipt were waiting for me at the airport... it's not announced, but the airport is very small, and I just checked in with the staff in the duty free store inside the airport (also cheap but Fung Kuei is better) who let me know what to look out for.

The store itself is modern, light, bright and airconditioned, which is nice if you've walked through Port Vila to get there. They have a really good selection and very cheap pricing. They have a few cute instore features, like the 'I Love Vanuatu' wall - perfect for a selfie ;)

The only issue I had was that the machine didn't read my card the first time, so was processed again, resulting in two Visa Holds being placed on my account for the same transaction. This was a bit annoying but was a bank error and Fung Kuei staff were great on Facebook messages at advising me what was happening, checking in with me (even after I left Vanuatu) and communicated really clearly. I'd probably suggest you take AUD with you to pay in cash in future because of this.

Definitely worth the effort!

The Cheapest!!!
Dec. 2019
I have a holiday in Vanuatu every year in November/December and have usually purchased my duty free grog on return to Melbourne - how dumb have I been. After speaking with another traveller at my resor, I spent about an hour walking the duty free shops and finally arrived at Fung Kei which is the cheapest - not by much BUT still the cheapest and FAR cheaper than Australia. Another bonus - if you are on a ship - they take Australian dollars AND give change in Australian dollars - could not be any better.

Cheapest Duty Free Ever
Dec. 2019
On our cruise to Vanautu Port Vila was our 2nd port. We had heard about this store so jumped into a taxi and went straight there. The prices were outstanding for alchohol. Purchased our limit and were very happy with the service as well. They take your cruise card and swipe it through and all your details are recorded and the store delivers it to the Ship.

Bargain Prices for Perfumes and Alcohol
Dec. 2019
We have never seen prices this low, to name a couple Prada Iris EDP 100ml $110 Australian, Absolute Vodka 1 litre $14 Australian, Chatelle VSOP Brandy 1 litre $16 Australian, just can’t beat those prices! Speedy, efficient and friendly service too, we were very impressed. They don’t carry every perfume but had what we wanted. We took the $5 boat ride from the locals across the harbour from our cruise ship to get to Fung Kuei and enjoyed the experience. You need your cruise ship pass to shop here. Don’t miss Fung Kuei when in Port Vila.
