We visited this village as part of our Atmosphere Cultural cruise ship tour on 13 Apr 2017. What a wonderful introduction to the local culture of the area. The main village elder spoke excellent English and his explanation of the local culture and environment were excellent. The local dancing was wonderful, especially the 2 little children (only 3-4 y.o.) who... More

Our guide was so friendly and funny and told us a lot about the culture on the drive up to the village. The village Chief was very welcoming and we learnt a lot about their culture and why its important for them to keep it alive. After the village tour we were taken to a nearby beach where the guides... More

There are many cultural villages on Efate, but this village is exceedingly well run. The villagers speak good English. The information stations are informative. The dances are well performed. Great place to stop. Wonderful photo opportunities.

Our visit to this village was a real stand out from our tour in Port Vila. It was interesting to hear how traditional methods are used to preserve food. The dancing and fire walking were entertaining. I would recommend a visit here

Having been to many South Pacific island, I wasn't very surprised by the whole show (it is a show, don't forget) but they did portray some interesting differences between the Vanuatu "kastom" and the rest of the Pacific. Fire-walking took way too much preparation .. Try the baby leafs !

I really enjoyed our visit to this cultural village- I learned a lot about how the people used traditional methods to help them survive during the recent cyclone. I enjoyed the dance and the firewalk too

I really cant say anything that hasn't already been said. It was very interesting to see how people are able to adapt and survive. I have to say, don't miss this if you are in Vanuatu.
