The Port Vila Market is a must-see while you're in town. A wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables is on offer, very reasonably priced and sold by friendly locals. Be sure to stock up on your old favourites and discover new ones! As others have said, the sellers are never pushy.

The market, just like the place itself is filled with locals that are always smiling & never pushy. The prices are more than reasonable for some of the most beautiful trinkets & wears. Can't wait to go back.

This is the place to go for fruit and vegetables as you are very limited with fresh produce at the supermarket. It is very cheap here and there is so much choice. We found it was better to come in the late afternoon or evening when it was cooler as this is the time more stalls are open. As well... More

I live in Port Vila since 10 month and I am always amazed by the quality of the vegetables and fruits. Opened 24hours except weekends it is a nice place to stroll around.

Love this place! A market selling just locally produced food! By local ladies, it a buzz of locals, expats and travelers looking for fruit etc. there is no cold storage so accept that nothing is perfect but it is as it is and you won't find a juicer mango or sweeter pineapple! The section selling fresh flowers is a dream... More

Food and beverage in Vanuatu is very expensive everywhere - except here in the local markets, where you can stock up on the unbelievably sweet pineapples, mangoes, bananas and the like, as well as sample local & authentic "takeaway" cooked meals. Prices are great - and this market is mostly patronised by locals, so you know it's the best value... More

The market is located centrally in Port Vila and the hub of local activity. It is open 24 hours a day Monday to Friday, winds down on Saturday by about noon and closed on Sunday. The local ladies set up their stalls were they eat, sleep and sell their wares until they return to their villages. There are toilets and... More

Don't expect too much but a fruit and flower local market. If you have not travelled much you may enjoy but really nothing special. One thing, the fruit is grown organically so that gives it a good taste without chemicals.
