Easily accessible by local bus, taxi or tour operator, the marine reserve (which includes the underwater post office) is a good day outing. There is a great wall for snorkelling near/beyond the second pontoon, and the further out you follow it, the larger the fish are and they just swim all around you.

Morning spent snorkelling with the kids aged 6 and 9. We took our own snorkelling gear... must take reef shoes. The kids loved it. Very affordable day out

This place is incredible ! The fabulous restaurant and its food and service ! The tropical fishes and creatures you can dive around for VT 1,500 for 3 persons. The underwater post office where you post your own waterproof cards ! Just brilliant ! Ferry boat free.

We visited Hideaway for half a day, entry fee is 1250vt (around $15) and we also purchased snorkel hire gear for 600vt (around $8). The free ferry takes you over in about 3mins from Hideaway Jetty. The snorkelling was very enjoyable and we saw some wonderful fish. The coral around is quite dead (as most of the world's coral seems... More

you have to pay to enter the island (1250VT/person) and also to rent snorkeling gear but for us it was worth it. We greatly enjoyed the snorkeling and the beautiful sunset.

Quick boat ride over, saw lots of fish, once again like the rest of Port Vila very quiet even with a ship in., Take reef shoes as beach is crushed coral to walk on.

The novelty underwater post office, the snorkelling in beautiful water and the frozen cocktails are worth the visit. Couple of hours is plenty. The boat ride across is easy and very frequent. Not far from Port Vila town. The road in is terrible, so if you are taking your hire car - drive with caution. You can easily get a... More

We only did a day visit for the snorkelling, which was fantastic. Easily accessible for all our kids. The resort (at the time) was a little run down, so e didn't take advantage of its facilities; but the potential was there. * note this is a review of our visit a couple of years previously!

This was by far my favorite spot in Vila. We traveled with another couple and their young children and all had an amazing time. Some chose to relax on the beach with the bar service while I snorkeled with the kids. Highly recommend for snorkeling, great variety of fish species and the underwater post office is a great novelty to... More
