Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the time we walked in, the staff were welcoming and friendly 👏
Atmosphere was relaxing, with soothing music (not to loud).
Drinks are very reasonably priced. As was the food, which was plentiful.
Age groups varied, as was the locals and tourists 😋.
One of the best place we have ventured to this trip so far.
Opens a bit late (4:00pm this day), still allows for an early dinner.
Highly recommended 👍.

We were staying at a hotel next door. We stayed there for 6 nights and went to The Banyan Bar 4 times. Situated right on the beach. The staff ere great, the drinks were great especially during happy hour. Wood fired pizzas and great salads. Friday and Saturday nights go off, with live music and people everywhere.

Relaxing evening at the Banyan Bar after a really busy day.
Sat down on the beach area and received good service
Good was good quality and value for money
Good to see plenty of locals also dinning as often the restaurants are just full of tourists!
Good selection of drinks etc

We visited Banyan Beach Bar after it was recommended by a local. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the drinks even more so. We loved it so much that we came back for sunset cocktails the next day. :)

A beautiful spot on the bay to unwind with lovely staff, great cocktails and yummy pizzas and burgers for dinner. It's becoming a regular for us. Kiddies are welcome. Friday nights can be busy/rowdy with various ex-pat gatherings after work. Saturdays are calmer and more preferred by me.

Tonight (15th Sept 2024) we went for dinner at the cafe. Very reasonable rates for the food, which was excellent. Must try the pizza YUM ! Best I have had in a while, so nice I forgot to take the photos before eating, even my husband said it was great. Family had the spicy chicken and beef teriyaki, they really enjoyed it. Non alcoholic drinks were really great. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere was relaxing. Don't miss out on a relaxing evening out ! Lee & Mal - Sandra & Paul

We stopped here for lunch on the way back from a private tour. We had cocktails and local beer and wood fired pizzas. The drinks were cold and nice and the pizza good, it was a bit greasy though. The pizzas are large, we ordered 2 and it was way too much, 1 pizza enough for 2 people. The location is great, just off a main road and you step into a little oasis on the beach. There is lots of seating. Good atmosphere, we would recommend.

Found this by accident on a walking jaunt around the town.
Opens at 1500 hours serving beer and cocktails. Staff are fabulous and happy to help.
Beers 450V and cocktails 800V. Plenty of seating near the bar or on the small beach. You can swim between drinks should you choose.
Not much shelter from the rain but there are lounge chairs under an iron roof.
Attached is a pizza bar should you be hungry.

Being a chef myself i expected some decent wood fires pizzas, especialy knowing the owner being french...and good the pizzas are great in France...
Sadly what a disapointment....I expected a full on pizza menu, including at least a seafood option...but nooo ...their pizzas menu is down to almost down to nothing. The pizzas we were served just ressembles to a slim joke that can only be qualified as a snack at best....and what an expensive snack that was a 1900 vatus for a leaf of dust.
Even my wife who never ever finished a pizza before was still hungry after.
My carnivore pizza did look promising on the menu, but was just some cheap flat bread with meat dots splaterred with some supermarket BBQ sauce...So much for the promised flank steak,.peperonis and bacon...
I asked for some chilly oil and was given a small portion of sweet thai chilly sauce...how ignorant can these guys be ??!!!
So to be frank, maybe a good place for sundowners, but if it is an authentic wood fire pizza you are after, keep on walking, this is not the place at all for that.
So what i am saying is that this place is just a tourist trap with bad food.
Shame because the setting is lovely...but the owner obviously knows nothing about restaurant management and how to ensure repeat business.
I took a look at the pizza making station...nothing is refrigirated, not the meat, the ham, the so called home made sauce and the "fresh" mushrooms comes from a can....
Well i think i said enough...it speaks by itself.
So my advice is to avoid this place and try other pizzas place in Port Vila.

How good is this bar! We were at a loose end, being a Sunday with nothing much open.
The atmosphere is great, terrific music without being intrusive and great service. We were there at happy hour, even better!
There is food available but we were there just for drinks. It is right next to Chantillys.
Highly recommended.
