    A touching monument adjacent to the intl airport terminal

    It's worth a walk to this garden from the international airport terminal to honor those who died in the bloody battle for Guadalcanal, and specifically for Henderson Field. There are monuments and rows of trees, some explanatory plaques, and not much else.

    Serene memorial

    This is a lovely memorial park at the airport. No need to go out of your way to visit but if you are at the airport and would like a bit of fresh air this is a nice place to enjoy and pay your respects.

    Without disrespecting the memory of those that this memorial acknowledges unless there is a personal connection..pass.

    Not a very inspiring memorial to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Basically a garden of trees in carefully planted rows with plaques dedicated not so much to individuals but from individuals or organisations.

    A few trees

    This place is tiny. It will take the whole of 5 minutes if you read every word. I respect the reason it's here but it's not a great tourist spot

    Very lovely

    Lovely place to visit and reflect on what happened here during the WWII. It is located right near the airport. There was an entrance fee of $10. The gravestones are beautifully set out and the whole place is very moving, making one feel sad as...More

    Lovely Memorial

    Located at the airport, this memorial is ensconced in a lovely grove of trees. It is well kept and easily accessible (right outside the entrance to the airport). Take a wander around and pay homage to our servicemen who defended our freedom.

    Interesting

    Some areas are maintained and others are not. Very moving , sad and reflects a lot of history from WW2

    Pleasant enough thing to do while waiting for your flight

    The Solomon Islands Memorial Garden is right beside Honiara Henderson Field Airport. There are plaques commemorating soldiers who fought in the Guadalcanal wars. It's a pleasant serene place, but not kept as good as it could be (as per much of Honiara!).
