Usual marketplace for islanders. Mot much really for tourists other than trinkets, clothes and could have had a few more things for people to eat, drink.

Good place to get your souvenirs & trinkets. Lots of jewelry & beachwear along with local produce. Closes at 11am.

The souvenir section was pretty nasty but the fresh produce side was ok. Had a good coffee and ate a few French pastries. I wouldn’t put the high on the “must do” list in Nouméa

It was great to see the culture of New Caledonia, especially a chance to taste the French Pastries. The locals were very helpful. For produce, the market was clean and organised. However, the souvenirs were expensive. Worth the visit.

Small by Aussie standards. Outside markets were ordinary and expensive. Inside markets were more interesting with foods and other stuff that I had not seen before. About average prices to what you would pay in Oz but expensive compared to other islands. Port Villa was...More

The markets are free to visit. They are held in covered areas so sheltered from sun or rain. We went by HOHO bus at $9 Australian. You can catch a local bus or even a taxi. Costs are minimal
