This is quite a bridge that I'm happy was rebuilt in its original location. I'm also happy that it has the name of Atchison's #1 claim to fame. It carries you across the Muddy Mo, from Missouri, directly into the city of Atchison, Kansas. Check it out at night, when neon lights illuminate the entire bridge! Colors change on occasion.... I learned a lot about this bridge on the web and from a curator a the Amelia Earhart birthplace home. Daytime driving is pleasant over a nice, but seemingly nothing special bridge. This bridge replaced a very old one and won an award for 1st place out of all 105 KS counties -- for it's night lighting. It has LED... More

Since we had no interest in crossing the river on a raft, we took the bridge. Nice bridge! It got us to the other side of the river!! But its a bridge, for God's sake! Not too exciting!!

The bridge Gives you a beautiful view of the Missouri River and the Bluffs of Benedictine College. The lights on the bridge change colors at night and it is beautiful!

The bridge is adjacent to Riverfront Park and offers similar beautiful views of the Missouri River. A good roadway surface and view of the park.

New bridge. Beautiful design, great gateway to the city. Lite at night with LED lights, that can be programmed for different lighting combinations.

Neat design and nighttime lighting. Unique design for what is traditionally railroad style bridges. Sort of a hybrid of the Boston/Bay area bridges as well as keeping with the traditional truss bridge. Great views when crossing the Missouri River

Replaced last year with a 4 lane bridge of the same name. Smooth, quiet surface! Wonderful light spires and programmed LED lights tracing the arches. Not as cool as the old bridge, but better in every other category.
