Off we went on a local boat to see the pink belly dolphins. It took a little time but we did see them. There were 3 that kept jumping out of the water. It’s worth doing but there are no guarantees you will see them.

Very Attractive. Every visitor and also inhabitants of Suriname must do the boat trip to see these dolfins. If you are on the water the dolfins know that you want to see them because they swim around the boat .

Hopped in a boat, served rum and watched dolphins for about an hour at the point where two rivers met. Relaxing activity.

The Commewijne River, one of the many rivers of Suriname, joins the Suriname River just before it reaches the ocean. One can view pink bellied river dolphins, visit plantations, tour the New Amsterdam fort and prison, and go bird watching.

definitely worth the evening tour. boat ride with many sites to see. And pink dolphins the hit of the ride. enjoyed the boat ride with drinks and refreshments. And of course many wonderful sites along the river to stop and see local villages and more.

It takes about an hour to get to the place where the dolphins swim but it was fun to see them and life on the river. Stopping at Fredriksdorp Plantation was a real treat. Beautiful grounds.
