The plaza is a nice place to sit and people watch, but there's not a whole lot here. A few statues of poor quality dotted around the gardens, but otherwise, it's simply a nice spot to relax if you're wandering the city centre.

Good place tosit and enjoy a rest in the shade when walking around the city. fascinating to watch the friendly chess players and possible to challenge for a game.

Plaza Uruguaya is one of the nicest ones in town. One that has not been claimed by the homeless and is kept reasonably well. There are nice sitting areas, as well as a playground for children.

Full of trees so quite shady if you wish to take a "breather" from your Asuncion exploring Action with street vendors, chess players etc Surrounded by some nice mid 19th century architecture including nearby central station

It is my first time in a city park surrounded by a fence, even though it is in the heart of the city, dogs are not allowed either, I guess every country is different.

Plaza Uruguaya is a nice park in the center of Asuncion where you can relax and take a break during a typical hot day. There are people playing chess and you can share a Terere, the national drink, with some friendly locals!

A pleasant square surrounded by bookshops and street vendors - and full of people meeting up with friends or just going for a stroll. A nice place during the day, but dodgy after dark.

We like coming to Plaza Uruguaya when in Asu. The places to eat around here are good and the shade this offers on a hot day is welcome and cooling.
