The government palace is located in the historical center, close to the Paraguay river. Unfortunately, due to security, one cannot get to close to it, so I had to take pictures from a reasonable distance. However, at the back of the palace there is a...More

Right next to the Costaner (river walk) nice place for pics, this is where the president works! The picture here is white, but it is actually a pink color now because the restored the building to its original way.

On dark time better to look around only in company of locals whom you know. On day time all the places I have been are quiet and safe enough. For travelling inside country they do have quit nice buses.

This is the highlight of Asuncion. The building is no longer white (it's sort of pinkish now). I didn't go inside (I'm not sure that you can even if you want to), but the outside is beautiful.

The must do thing to do while in Asuncion. Ensure to go to front and back of Palace. Great photos from river side of palace. Early morning nice to go visit before gets crowded with tourist.

An architecture gem encouraged by the famous Madamn Lynch, I believe, with obvious French influence, a real beauty!!!

It is so unusual that the Government facilites are open, open. No heavy security There is no perimeter that blocks the building, so enjoy the visit and walk arorund.
