Local bus. Easy access. Beautiful Cathedral St Augustine. Ground clean and well maintained flowers and trees. Inside is breathtaking. They sang like angles. Acoustics and performance spectacular!

This church is one of the oldest colonial churches in Bogota and has a very beautiful interior. As you enter you will see an amazing carved screen followed by a beautifully maintained church. The ceilings and arches are stunning. Well worth a visit.

This church gives you a good sense of the style and influence of the Spanish Colonialists. It is truly beautiful inside and demonstrates extensive hand carving and detail that must have taken a large crew of artisans a lot of time to create. It's worth...More

Lovely chapel opposite Nariño's Palace. It is very quiet once you go inside and the images and decorations are traditional and old-fashioned. If you like visiting churches, you must stop by this one, and go right to the altar, where you can appreciate its ornamentation...More

From the outside this is a very plain building indeed, but once you go inside - it is really quite beautiful. Once you pass the intricately carved screen at the doorway ( which was built so that the locals could hear the services but not...More

The oldest church in Bogota. Colombian churches don't have the violent images and assertive gilding of, say, Mexican churches -- I'd love to know why.

The brick outside of this church isn't very impressive and it looks very run down, but inside is really worth checking out. Not as ornate as some of the other churches on the opposite side of Plaza Bolivar, this is still worth seeing.

You should definitely get inside this church if you like churches and it's close to the presidential Palace and also to the archives of Bogota who are a beautiful building made by Rogelio Salmona, one of the top architects of Bogota!

Of all the churches in Bogota, this was for me the nicest. It was one of the more natural churches, not over elaborate, with a nice altar piece and splendid ceiling. The outside brickwork also makes it an attractive building overall.
