There is much variety in the architecture of the buildings, old narrow streets - just what you would expect of an older Latin American city. little shops and cafes, stands with local favourites - definitely a part of Bogota you don't want to miss.

I stopped and had a glass of wine here.... The wine selection was mediocre and the ambiance and service weren't that good. Was expensive for a glass of below average wine. The location is great however...

For newer tourists to Bogota, the Macarena neighborhood is an excellent choice. It is close to downtown, but filled with interesting restaurants.

A lovely little hilly neighborhood hidden behind the main roads in central Bogota. The restaurants and shops are all small. No tall buildings, or traffic to deal with. Close to the Modern Art Museum, parks and easily accessible by the metro buses.

A centrally located neighborhood, inhabited by local artists, musicians, film directors, La Macarena is also home to some of the better established art galleries in town; many good restaurants and cafes as well as craft shops. Many say it is one of the few neighborhoods...More

This street is really nice, with a bunch of restaurants. We had dinner in a Thai, but we also saw some Peruvian restaurants, an Argentinian, a Spanish and a Brazilian restaurant, pizza and Italian restaurants as well. It shouldn't be missed.
