The Banco de la República Gold Museum houses one of the most important collections of pre-Hispanic metallurgy in the world. As its history, which dates back to 1939, has unfolded, so this institution has become a symbol of Colombia's cultural memory. Its golden exhibition, fully renewed in November, 2008, is a place you cannot miss in your next trip to Bogota.

the gold museum is definitely the best museum in Bogota and one of the best museums I have seen in South America. The entrance fee is very small, so do take the time to visit this museum when in Bogota.

You won't see anything like this anywhere in the world. Take your time and enjoy it. Then you can go about to La Candelaria.

The photos won’t do this place any justice. Go experience the culture and history yourself. A lot of walking and reading but it’s well worth it. Very cool

It appears not. They have a website but the English language version has its limits. On the Spanish version you can find a link to ancient board games complete with instruction on how to play them.
