Nice

One of the few beautiful historic buildings in this city. However, the building would need some cosmetic repairs.

Another beautiful building
Jul. 2019 • Friends
It's another beautiful building that can be seen from Murillo Square. We didn't try to get in and only observed from the square.

On Plaza Murillo
Feb. 2019 • Solo
This is another impressive building looking out onto Plaza Murillo. It is right next to the Cathedral and worth a visit if in the area.

A left party clock?
Feb. 2019 • Family
The tower clock is the other way around.
Truth. It is a party watch from the Latin left.

The National Congress was only seen from the outside.
There are no internal tours.
The house of the people is half a people, some.

Impressive building.
Dec. 2018 • Couples
The Bolivian National Congress is housed in this magnificent building in Murillo Square. It certainly outshines the Presidential Palace, which is almost next to it.

WImpressive building housing both chambers of congress
Jan. 2019 • Couples
When leaving the cathedral it is on the right side of the Plaza Murillo. Easiest to go through the Plaza. For Americans, the bottom floor is the House of Representatives, the second floor the senate. Behind the building you'll see a very large office building going up. That will soon be offices for both chambers.

Check out the clock on top!
May 2018 • Couples
It was nice to sit in the square and take in the architectural designs of the Spanish Colonial buildings surrounding the area. The Palacio, stood out because of the interesting clock at the top with its numbers reversed, the columns and all the windows. The buildings are kept very clean and not like others we've seen in Bolivia which were full of graffiti. Good place to take photos.

One of 2 Palaces at Plaza Murillo
Mar. 2018 • Solo
I confess to being a little confused as to the identity of the two Palaces which are on Plaza Murillo in La Paz, Bolivia. According to the tourist map given to me by my hotel, they are the Palacio Legislativo (and my map gave an English translation of - no surprises here - of Legislative Palace)and the Palacio de Gobierno (Government Palace).
Contributors to TripAdvisor seem to have been mixing up their photographs and names. My photos in this review are of the Palacio de Gobierno (which has the ceremonial guards outside, as distinct from the guards in modern military uniform which is the Legislative Palace).
But for present purposes, I don't think it matters - if you get to Plaza Murillo, there is not only the Metropolitan Cathedral, but both of these impressive Palaces.
Pretty much a "must do" if you are exploring La Paz.

Since 2009, name is "Asamblea Legislativa Plurinacional"
Mar. 2018 • Friends
This large attractive building is the Plurinational Legislative Assembly of Bolivia, a new name adopted around the time of the new constitution of 2009 which sought greater recognition and enhanced standing for the indigenous population of Bolivia. Similarly, Plurination State of Bolivia replaced Republic of. It is a nicely proportioned building, with a backwards-running clock, and 3 large flags in front - the national flag in the middle, a coloured check flag on the left, and one other. It might be best viewed from the Plaza Murillo. Construction cranes behind it, and a derelict building on it's left, detracted from its surroundings as of March 2018.

Impressive building
Aug. 2017 • Solo
Right on Plaza Murillo, this is another interesting building with an impressive facade, but it can't be visited. The building is guarded by soldiers in traditional uniforms, carrying ancient weapons, as well as by modern military police. They are happy to stand for photos.
