Why would you not want to experience the city center? Oh, the history! Loved it. Traffic was not bad. Vendors selling dessert snacks, etc. Small quick stroll around the square. Safe.

There are a couple of interesting points in this square but overall what makes the difference for me is the colours, the activity around the square. The Cathedral and the head of government and parliament are the highlights in an otherwise forgettable square

Main square of the city of La Paz, located in the heart of the downtown, with many attractions around. Historical place.

A great location to get out of La Paz's narrow streets and take in the former grandeur of the buildings around the plaza. Overrun by pigeons but part of its character.

A typical Plaza of a big Latin American City, full of people with even more pigeons that are fed by children
