Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very large and adorned with lots of stain glass windows large and small. Back of altar has largest, most beautiful stain glass window. Fairly dark even during a mass we attended. Various, well lit side altars. On a major plaza with congress across from it.

This Cathedral stands high above Plaza Murillo and is one of the most important buildings in the city. It stands next to many other buildings of importance such as the presidential palace. The exterior and interior are both impressive.

Dismal. It may look good on the outside but wasn't open the several times we passed by. And the notice board never said when it would be. As a church it still fails miserably, not even the times of mass are given.

The decor and artefacts here might not be as impressive as the San Francisco church, but the architecture is simply breathtaking. The vaulted ceilings and columns will take your breath away, plus, the stained glass is far more impressive than the rival church. Not open as often as the SF church, but Sunday is a good time to visit and photography is allowed, plus it's a free visit.

We absolutely loved this Cathedral in the heart of La Paz. Beautiful and ornate on the inside and a real haven of peace in such a busy, noisy town.
Massive and imposing on the outside and a lively leafy square in front. Well worth a visit.

I highly recommend a visit to the beautiful catedral. We looked around the church for a while. There are many decorative altars and a few wonderful chanderliers. I only missed some information about the church in English.

Was a big space and free but not as ornate and spectacular as Cusco. Easy to walk to and the plaza in front was nice to sit in bar the pigeons.

Its huge and beautifully vintage. Sat on the main square in La Paz, can be easily seen and there's always a lot of crowd outside the cathedral. Interior felt like some old school church.
