We really liked this gallery. You pay a small entrance fee and then have the run of several floors. Watch out, if you take photos they will want 20BS extra though. Nice local pieces, bronzes and some great plaster cast statues. Easy to spend an...More

This venue was somebody's private house and it's still owned by the family. The first floor had a temporary one-man exhibit of a lot of nudes that were for sale. The second floor was a selection of current Bolivian artists (some of the pictures were...More

This museum is closed. Too bad because it looked really interesting. There are some very nice things to see and restaurants along the Prado where this building is located.

It´s sad this nice museum is closed now, the owner just gave up, he couldn´t keep it going no more. I hope some day it reopens or that another museum like this one reaches the level this one had.

I say this because despite the website saying it is open, it has actually been closed for 6 months and the tourist office could not say if or when it would open again.

February 2017 the pictures on display mediocre but previous visits, some years ago, well worth it. Mamani Mamani pictures outstanding but, on this visit, only a couple of cards of his work on sale.

Thought it was going to be a bit of a disappointment based on ground floor where the works are for sale but upstairs 2 levels have a bit of the wow factor. Best museum in la Paz imho.

This museum, in fact a relatively wild private collection, is different from any modern art museum we had seen anywhere in the world. It is more of a curiosity cabinet, but worth to see, for unterstanding Latin American Art, and for experiencing an old villa...More

I stumbled upon this art museum by accident. But I'm glad I did! They have many different artists but I especially loved the local artists. You can easily spend 2 hours here. But can finish it a lot quicker. Also this isn't a "fancy pants"...More
