Don't miss this collection of instruments, accompanied by music in each of the rooms. Some of the instruments are very unusual and fascinating. It is located in the most charming city in La Paz, a short walk from the main 4 museums to see in this city and well worth the trip

There are many reviews of the museum itself, but the greatest thing about the museum is once a week they have a concert with leading Bolivian musicians at 7 p.m., EXACTLY (may be the only venue in Bolivia with such a strict time schedule) they include Ernesto Cavour a legend in Bolivian music and his guests. Often famous contemporary musicians... More

This is a beautifull particular museum owned by famous musician Ernesto Cavour. He has a huge collection of native musical instruments and the house itself is beautifull to walk and enjoy. SOme night there are free concerts by the Maestro Cavour. A must visit place

I have visited several museums in La Paz. This was my favorite. The beautiful building is located in one of the most fancy streets in La Paz, which also houses other museums. The collection is surprisingly diverse and amazing. There was a lot of imagination to set up the rooms. The instruments are very well maintained and some of them... More

Besides being a museum where you can actually play some instruments, the concerts offered every saturday are hosted by Ernesto Cavour, the first musician to write a method for charango learning. While you are in La Paz, do not miss going to an almost free concert of this eminence.

I took friends here for the saturday night concert. This is a wonderful way to hear native instruments played by up and coming artists, as well as by some of the best Bolivian musicians. It only costs 20 Bs, it starts at 7 pm sharp and last for about 1,5 - 2 h (with break, where you get hot beverages).... More

Great building with its splendid courtyard. Fantastic examples of music to be heard and experienced. We enjoyed every minute of it.

5 Bs entrance fee. Everything is in Spanish, but even if you don't speak it, the instruments are fun to look at. There are a lot that you can play, also. You'll probably have the place to yourself too. Don't even try the bathrooms they're scary

This unusual collection of instruments is accompanied by music in each of the rooms. It is like visiting the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix only smaller. It is a short walk from the main 4 museums to see in this city and well worth the trip.

There is a great variety of musical instruments, some not even imaginable (at least from me). I was really impressed to even find a especial guitar that was made in my very hometown (Mexico) as well. Worth the visit and I did enjoy it very much!
