One of the best mountain bike rides I've done

Epic day out mountain biking: stunning views and quite an adventure. I went with a company called Ride On who were very good.

When you are in La Paz, this is a must to do. No need to be a mountain bike addict, i was not. So much fun and outstanding view. Just choose wiselly your company, there are so many and the cheapest are not the best one (security). I booked with Barracuda Biking, middle price but professionnal with bikes, protections and... Am only writing this as saw poor review of Barro Biking. OK, I did this a few years ago but they were awesome. I am a mountain biker so wanted my brakes changed to suit me and the guide did this in a flash at the top. They looked after us wel with frequent stops for the young unfit Norte... More

Known as the world's most dangerous road, it's a top attraction on the gringo trail through bolivia. But it absolutely deserves its reputation. Biked it with Xtreme downhill in La Paz, and i'd happily come back and do it again tomomorrow. Amazing day out and and incredible place to visit

The road can be very rough and scary. But with Ride On they have the best of everything. We saw all the other companies that day and so happy we went with Ride On. Since it is downhill there is very little peddling but is all about braking to control your speed. And holding on when you hit the many... More

The views from 'the road of death' a.k.a. 'el camino de la muerte' are astonishing. But this is not for the faint of heart. If you do it, choose to come up the road from the Yungas, not down the road from La Paz, because when you head down you have to travel on the left side, next to the... More

We did Death Road with Ride On and they were fabulous. Professional, the best equipment (high visibility jacket with full face helmet and shin/knee/elbow pads). Ours was the only group where not one person even so much as fell off the bike! I have never mountain biked before, others in the group had and we all enjoyed the ride! You... More

If you are in La Paz definitely do that. Even if you are not expierenced in Downhill it shouldnt be a problem, as long as you know how to ride and bike. You can go at your own pace.

I was looking for this experience, but in the end i was extremely disappointed by the company we chose (barro biking). I wanted to mainly see the road, enjoy it and take pictures, but with the biking trips all companies offer it is impossible! Generally the whole trip schedule is a bit rubbish i have to say, cause i was... More

Amazing views worth the challenge! I enjoyed every minute of the adrenaline! Wear good shoes and make sure the tourism company does have good quality gear (specially full cover helmets)
