Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a futuristic looking building, which we saw from our hotel balcony each and every day.
We also drove next to it to see it up close.

I saw it from my room and wanted to go check it out and it is so inspiring to see how a building could be in the form of a circle and still be so functional. We took a lot of pictures and nobody stopped us. Quite inspiring from an architectural point of view!

Tall and slim megastructures are commonly known but a perfect round circle is something different. The Aldar HQ next to the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway is a remarable landmark. It's shape is perfect round and looks like a flat diamond. Didn't have the time to get closer and see if it is possible to visit but I sure will next year.

Built in the shape of a coin on its end. We visited with one of the guys who helped to build it and he shared a few stories. What makes it all the more remarkable is the land it is built in on wasn’t there originally it was reclaimed from the sea and to build such a construction piles had to be hammered into the bedrock 33 metres below. The area was meant to have another 6 or seven structures of similar merit but it stands alone as a testament to the financial crisis of 2008 when investment effectively disappeared! Apparently when someone came with the idea, that’s all it was, no drawings plans of how it was going to be done, but just a dream to coincide with the first Abu Dhabi F1 meeting as a TV pan across the skyline. The original purchaser stood a coin on its end and said we want it to look like that, be several hundred metres high and have it ready in 18 months! A great story and a wonderful construction success!!

The UAE always seem to have the most amazing feats of architecture and engineering and this is certainly one! We actually thought it was a hotel but it’s offices! Fabulous to look at, imagine working there each day!
Our tour guide told us the design is supposed to imitate a seashell! Worth seeing if you’re in Abu Dhabi!!

The HQ of Aldar, I am always fascinated each time I pass by and see this magnificent round-shaped building that it captures my imagination how skillful and experienced are the engineers and architects who designed this building. It is a must-see here in Abu Dhabi.

Great architecture and Landmark of Abu Dhabi.
You can't do anything there but the building just looks amazing and is worth a picture taken there.

Everytime I enter Abu Dhabi, the visible and striking building is visible miles around. I am so impressed with it and since then, a picture with this unique architecture as my background is included in my bucket list of things to do in the capital of United Arab Emirates.
Often called as the coin, disk, button, full moon. According to Khaleej Times (local newspaper of UAE), this architecture was inspired by a pearl. It gave me a second thought because a pearl is never a perfect circle.
The distinctive building is Aldar Headquarters, the first circular building of its kind in the Middle East, located in Al Raha, Abu Dhabi. It has won many awards which includes "Best Futuristic Design". Well, I do agree with that.
Wondering what is inside? It features the following elevators:
12 passenger elevators
2 service elevators
3 mono space elevators
1 circular hydraulic lift
2 dumbwaiters
hotel suites
restaurants
A photo with the building is worth keeping!
