“A bit of fun in-between other stuff in Abu Dhabi”

This was the only carpet souk we found during our trip and there were many stalls to choose from. They didn’t seem to be used to tourists calling in and they all wanted your custom in a light hearted and welcoming way. Items were reasonably priced and varied from rugs to cushion covers. Nice to see something different.

all your fine carpets for souvenir., be ready to be bored by all the sellers trying to get you into their shops. once you are ready decide choose hand made and of course don't accept their prices. these are people quite simple and kind that will offer tea or water and try their best to make you feel welcome. got a nice red hand made carpet for around 80euros and got it deliver on the hotel.

I booked a Abu Dhabi city tour with Book Dubai Trip company April 2019 and was taken to Galerie Hamadan unit of carpet city Abu Dhabi. I purchased a wall carpet after a lot of pressure to buy, when they packed it he folded it in half and then wrapped it very tightly with plastic and tape. Both myself and the other person who purchased the same as myself told him of our concern but was told that is how they always pack them. On arrival home I discovered the pressure of this packing had formed holes around all the edges. On contacting the company they did not answer my emails, finally after all this time and me threatening to contact other options they have said they may replace it but I have send it and to pay postage approximately $90 just to send it.
