Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and wife visited the gallery last month and we had an unpleasant experience with one of their male staff.
While viewing one of their artifacts, I was showing my wife some fine details on the relic as everyone knows that there are minute details in art pieces that will catch your eye. When I was pointing out the particular feature, one security guy, I believe his name is Roman, suddenly raised his voice and told us that there is "NO POINTING!!!" allowed. This surprised us since we didn't even touch the item. It was actually fine to call our attention but the way he did it was quite disrespectful. He acted bossy and didn’t treat us in a proper manner.
I sent an email to raise this concern to the management and nothing has been done.
We have been to many museums including the Louvre in Paris and we know that your standards are unparalleled but I guess this Abu Dhabi branch has lowered the bar.
Very disappointing indeed! I don’t recommend going through the hassle of traveling to this location. Save your money and time!

I went to visit the museum and surprised about strange roles asking about PCR test within 14 days to be allowed to enter the museum. I was fully vaccinated with my family. I arrived to the city before 7 days visiting all fantastic activity wearing the mask the whole time with no similar policy indicating i have to have PCR test before entering any activity.
I always like to follow the role but the way how the lady in front disk respond to my enquiry not appropriate. I decided to leave with bad impression about a place in my opinion should represent abu dhabi in better form. Writing this critique in favor of having a better service in this beautiful city.

This is an important attraction in Abu Dhabi and has some very nice exhibits. The building itself is very impressive. This is much smaller than the Louvre in Paris but has a decent collection. Good option to visit.

I'm probably being a bit on the generous side with this rating and was tempted to rate it average.
The dome roof is stunning and the building itself well done. There is a sense of serenity here but I think we were extremely lucky as there were very few people here on the day we visited. The building almost mirrors itself into the water surrounding it.
They actually don't have that much art on display and that was why I was toying with rating this average. They have very tastefully displayed the art and it is well laid out in ample space so there are no choke points. They have very little European masters on display and apart from one Picasso absolutely no other modern art on display. That said, on the day we visited, one wing was closed and I think there was some European art in there. They also have temporary exhibitions on so check before you come what is on display.
If you think you'll be visiting something similar to the Louvre in Paris, you'll be extremely disappointed because of the lack of art on display. However, if you're in the UAE, this is worth a visit.

This museum is one of the best places to experience when you are in Abu Dhabi. It’s overall 2 to 3 hours time to enjoy! There’s a little charges for entrance free which can be booked through online. We actually did not take any guided tour since all the items displayed are accurately labeled with various languages.

The collection of art was from all over the world which was just amazing but the building and the overall architecture of this place is an absolute marvel. It is a must see in Abu Dhabi even for a couple of hours.

The most outstanding about Louvre Abu Dhabi is their impressive building, as if the dome is floating on the sea. It has beautiful dome architecture and amazing sun rays show during the day…apart from great collection and exhibition, nice cafe and restaurant, you can also do other activities such as kayaking, and many beautiful spots for taking pictures. A lot of instagramable spots and picturesque place worth a visit.

Excellent curation of a variety of artifacts from around the world. I really appreciated the approach of putting pieces of similar meaning/style together from different cultures and times. Overall, there were fewer pieces from the region than I expected.

Even if you're not into Art this is a lovely gallery in which to wander and relax in the grounds. If you are into Art, then you will certainly need the 3 hour visit allocation

Can I go to the louvre without covid test? Or is it still required?

Anything in Abu Dhabi you needed proof of both covid test plus vaccination record. That was in may 2022. Hopefully someone there now can assist. Otherwise, email the louvre and ask
Can i have tickets for louvre abudhabi offline? Like, from the ticket counter itself?

good afternoon !
I would like to know if the dome of the Louvre Abu Dahbi museum, which allows light to enter in such a beautiful way, also allows the passage of rain? I imagine it rains little in Abu Dahbi, but still, is the dome leaked?
Thank you in advance !

Why is it showing unavailable when I input my 3 children as visitors? But for the same date and time is becomes available if i put 0 children. Are children under 12 years not allowed?
