Great market with all kinds of fruits but the star of the show are the dates. It is about to be season now so they have different dates at different stages which is very cool. You can see them and many vendors let you taste them for free and even give you arabic coffee to go along with it. If you speak Hindi or Malialum (probably spelling it wrong) you are going to be able to haggle and get an even better price. If you dont speak it dont worry because there are great vendors who will still give you great prices. I got a KG of dates for 20 dirham when it was marked for 30 dirham and the vendor was very pleasant and basically let me eat tons of dates for free which was an experience on its own.

A great selection of dates (and other sweets) from across the Middle East. The place is a bit off the beaten track, but it;s well worth a visit. The selection of dates is very good and the prices are quite low (and bargaining is weklcome)

We had the good fortune to visit a store in the dates market. Here they had all kinds of dates, apricots, figs, nuts, chocolate and candy.
My wife and I weren't planning on buying any dates, we just wanted to see this famous marketplace where the date vendors are all gathered together.
A young man (wearing plastic hygiene gloves) offered my wife and I two different kinds of dried dates and a fresh date. We weren't even going to try them, but he was pleasant - not insistent- so we tried them. They were so much better than the dates we get back home in Canadian stores!
We will be in Dubai for another few months so we bought some to consume in our apartment. I highly recommend this as a stop in Abu Dhabi.

If you wanna purchase dates, then this is the right place. We purchase our dates and nuts from here. The prices are reasonable. Little cheaper compare to Dubai. Date Chocolates, Nuts, coffee, saffron, raisins, and many more are available here. The choice of spices are limited hence spice souk in Dubai is recommended.

The traditional date market was on our guided tour program, so we visited. I don't even like dates, and our expectations were low. However, we enjoyed the visit and even bought some dates, and some traditional middle eastern sweets (baklava and similar things) which were mostly imported from neighboring countries. The dates (from Saudi Arabia) were delicious.

We spend about an hour here looking along some the shops with their dates and other products. A great way to buy dates. We only tend to have 2 varieties in our local Waitrose. Think we must have tried about 10 different ones before deciding what to buy. (Try date jam too - it's a new favourite for me on toast or pancakes).

“Green Lawn” is a store filled with dates, dates, and more dates—many kinds. One is encouraged to try different varieties. Fun place. It is in a Vegetable and Fruit market area of many stores collected in a strip store arrangement.

Was really looking forward to get some good quality dates. We went to Abu-Fahad Food Stuff and Fruit and Basheer really looked after us. We had an opportunity to try various dates, dates in chocolate and stuffed dates, were offered Arabic coffee and water. Amazing hospitality!
Ended up with 3kg of dates, date syrup and a huge variation of various chocolate dates.
Really well priced and an amazing experience.

I had to come back here.... we're delighted with another brunch. I must say, by far, the best Abu Dhabi brunch.
Our dear guest who joined us, is vegetarian, and she was delighted with the options and depths of flavours on her vegetarian brunch option.
If you appreciate gourmet food with beautiful presentations, you have to try the Kitchen's Market Abu Dhabi. Just that!

Sorry I can't help you with the Dubai supplier I purchased dates from the Abu Dhabi date market , the traders there do export.
