Went here to while away a few hours and was pleasantly surprised at the layout, view across the water and good cafe. Museum is very well laid out and has a lot of historical items. Probably boring for young children. Entry is free so you have nothing to lose by having a look

The whole experience is so carefully crafted -- the outdoor plaza, the trees, the architecture, the interior, the serenity. The exhibits are finely displayed, though frankly the building is as much an exhibit as the individual items displayed inside. This place is worth a visit to Doha by itself, and definitely a must-see for anyone who comes to Doha.

If you have time only for one place to visit in Doha, it should be Museum of Islamic Art. Absolutely beautiful building with a small but interesting collection of Islamic Art. There are guided tours offered and it was well worth it. The tour lasted 45 minutes and we spent additional 45 minutes viewing the exhibition. There was also temporary... More

For me the inside of the museum didn't match the exterior, the space is so wide that it becomes "cold and empty" (probably nice to the warmest days here!) although I'm considering this from an visitors perspective and not on a weather one. The collections are very interesting and amazingly cared for and maintained but for such a big place... More

First you will be impressed with the architecture design of the building. The exhibits inside provide a glimpse into Arab history. There are galleries with featured exhibits too. My latest visit included a Chinese exhibit and a tribute to boxer Mohammad Ali. You will be impressed with the view of downtown Doha across the bay too.

The museum is architecturally beautiful on the inside and outside. It is free and presents its beautiful collection in a comprehensive and easy to navigate manner. All information was available in both Arabic and English.

If you are in Doha then you cannot leave without visiting the Museum of Islamic Art. This museum was on my to do list before I arrived, but everyone we spoke to told us we had to definitely go see it! The museum is close to Souq Waqif where we were staying and is situated along the Corniche by the... More

This is such a beautiful building I use its photo on my LinkedIn page. It's also striking inside. Never mind the exhibits, go there for coffee in front of the immense and striking window which overlooks Doha bay and City Centre. Exhibits are interesting and change frequently. Do not miss this if you are visiting Doha, or be branded 'infidel'!

Although a good effort done, a lot of work of well known Islamic artists are not seen. It would be great to see that.
