- Sheanna HQatar78 contributionsKnowledge, learning and fun in one placeThis is my 3rd time to visit the museum. It never ceases to amaze me. QNL is organized well and equipped with advanced technology, suitable spaces for studying and meeting. The location is also much more accessible now compared to earlier years. There is a metro and tram nearby. Qatar National Library is indeed a must-visit place filled with books and activities but also Arabic & Islamic histories.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 January 2024

- Abovetheclouds2,321 contributionsIn awe! I have never seen anything like it!Some may think this is just a library but my god, having travelled much of the world, I was in awe! I have never seen anything like it! Go! Just take an uber. Stunning building and architecture. Go inside and it is like stepping into something from the future! You can walk in even as a tourist and browse or grab a coffee. Huge. Clean, modern and the most neatly organised library I had ever seen! There is a reading area, computer lab, a heritage library and more. Walk and browse. Take it all in. Fast WIFI. I think it is a great place for students as you really feel motivated. I wish I was able to use a library like this when I was a student!Visited August 2024Travelled soloWritten 23 August 2024

This beautifully Designed library has become an architectural landmark in Qatar. The Library itself is very rich in books and state of the art technology is used. They also do live classical Music Concerts which are really cool!

One of the best Libraries worldwide with huge variety of collection and different exhibitions happening here.
Main attraction is the building design itself and the interior outlay.
Its great place for ongoing students and researchers.
The exhibitions also has good collection and situated right in the middle but in the basement.
If in Qatar a never to miss place to visit...!!!

Just 15 minute drive from Doha on Dukhan road or by Metro on green line with a station just outside the library. At present you have to book an appointment session on line before visit and follow normal Covid procedures. Car parking immediately adjacent to building entrances. This is a magnificent structure worth the visit alone. As a resident it is easy to join and access to the library collection is simple. There is also a nice cafe around the reading areas. Under current Covid precautions you cannot browse the physical archives but you can still order through the many on line catalogue stations. In the basement there is also an excellent Heritage collection beautifully presented featuring the many facets of Qatar Culture and History. Great place to visit as a resident (and to use the services) or as a Qatar visitor.

Revisit to this incredible building and facility for the residents of Qatar. Tourists to Qatar should take the short metro ride out to see this sight. There is also a nice cafe and an excellent permanent exhibition of the literary history of Qatar and the Arab world

It makes sense to come to the library not so much to read books, but to see what a modern library can be like. Innovation and technology are literally at every step here - ordering books from the storage facility with delivery, automatic delivery of read books, lecture halls, the opportunity to work with electronic and digitized publications on computers, cozy work areas for one or several people, museums and exhibitions, cafes... .
Located in Education City, the most convenient way to get there is by car. Admission is free; you do not need a library card to visit. Don't forget to visit the mosque nearby.

Wonderful building and awesome facilities. I am not sure if it is the best place to concentrate due to people walking and chatting as some chilling areas are connected with the studying room.
It is a must to see the structure of the building.

Modern architectonic style building, with wide glass windows allowing a good natural illumination. One side of the building with Arab world literature and the other side, world wide books. Downstairs has a museum of historical books from the Arab world.

Strongly recommended visiting especially with your family.
Very family-friendly, staffs are very helpful, there is every time an event you would enjoy. Also, there is a restaurant you can enjoy your meal.
And there is an exhibition area you have to visit.
A have to visit the location in Qatar.

Smooth drive to the library, where I was greeted with a car valet so I could directly enter the library. There was a parking next to it though. The atmosphere is amazing and a true world of knowledge opens up when you enter. Applying for the membership card was smooth and handled with kindness at the front desk. They helped me through all the steps when I couldn't apply alone. They had a small exhibition on the ground floor as well. Amazing place!

The most beautiful library I have ever visited in my life. It is definitely worth a visit. It contains antique and old books, as well as maps and old Qur’anic copies. For those who love books and reading, 5 hours is not enough to stay in the library, and I advise visiting it early.

Those hours sound correct. To be sure Google " hours of National Library, Qatar" Enjoy your visit. It is a beautiful building and interior space . Checking out books is very easy, and the staff is helpful . Many books are in English. The first book I saw in the stacks was an English Chinese dictionary!
