Great place to watch the locals enjoy their evenings. A nice picturesque boardwalk rounds the harbor here. You can view the Sultans Gigantic yacht. Be sure to get a mango juice drink at the Juice center across the way and get lost in the Muttrah souk in the evening.

All streets and ways will lead you to Muscat's Corniche. Take your time and stroll around. Totally beautiful and safe, it is there you'll mostly feel the Omani spirit. Old buildings and the entrance for Muttrah Souq. Big ocean liners and typical dhows float side by side at Muscat's port nearby. The visit should be made at early evening, when... More

The Corniche is a central location, you can visit the fish market, the market for fruit and vegetables, the Souk, find refreshment in one of several rooms facing the sea, a place not to be missed nda in Muscat

Take a stroll early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the heat. The old buildings are telling a long and rich story while you can see in the harbor a local dhow passing by. At the same time you can visit the Souk and have a nice & strong Arabic coffee with some dates.

There is nothing to dislike about corniche ,it's a very old part of Muscat and well kept with its old house architecture and very Scenic road one side the old houses and the other the port ,with A back drop of the old forts perched on the mountains and the Very blue sea just amazing place.

We headed into town about 5 o clock which was perfect to catch sunset along the corniche and to have a good wander in the souk. Both are well worth a look. Muscat feels real, unspoilt and has a charm that's rare to find.
