Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

I was expecting a lot more from this park as it’s generally considered one of the top places for tourists to visit. It’s difficult to find the entrance if you’re approaching it from the western end. Once you find it there’s not much to see.
Unless you happen to be walking by it I wouldn’t waste your time on it.

Deserve a visit, you will love it.
no food allowed from out of the park, there are a new branded cafes and resturants. Very interesting with dancing fountain and nice location.
Sometime you will find open market there in weekends.
It has 2 phases with different style and nice sculptures about Kuwait

Great atmosphere quiet and nice views with pure air circulation, you walk around and enjoy the tartan finish walkways. With low spot lights to see your way through.

Not much to see but this is a nice park to have a walk around; lots of locals doing the walking exercise.
I did meet a tour guide. And was annoyed that the museum was closed due to maintenance. I did like the contribute it had to the martyrs.
The gift shop is rubbish. Had a walk around for about 30 mins took a couple of pics and the left. Must say it is very well maintained.
Not a must see; but if you are there and have time then worth ticking off.
If you like my review select yes.

I'm not a 'walk in a park' type of person, but this park is beyond what I expected. A very modern, huge park that satisfies people of all ages and desires (obviously except people who hate parks, then we should stay at home). There are various restaurants and a spectacular view of the city's skyscrapers. Enjoy.

The weather in February 2017 is cool with a nice breeze and this incites me to visit the park on a weekly basis for reading, walking and eating. The park is enriched with still lakes and smooth running water in the middle of the greenery. A Jogging track (deep pink color sidewalk) is designed around the park for an extended walk. This time I came across the constitution monument, which is a huge golden monument near the main entrance. In the middle of the park, visitors could get information from the information desk within the Visitor Center, besides the Reading room.
.
I had meals twice at the Visitor Center. I had a delicious breakfast at the Three & Barista on the ground floor and a healthy lunch at Fayrouzeyat on the first floor. See below for review.

Three & Barista- Artisanal Coffee Bar & kitchen
The place is cozy and casual. It has an Industrial design. A turquoise vintage car is displayed in the middle of the café. There is an outdoor terrace on the ground floor over looking a lake. I had the Green omelette, which is eggs mixed with spinach and filled with ricotta cheese sprinkled with pine nuts and garnished with chopped parsley, dill and sprouted beans. This main is delicious, healthy and aromatic. I had Chai latte, which is a mild masala tea (Indian). The tea was mildly prepared and not too spiced up.

Fayrouzeyat – Fine Lebanese cuisine
This restaurant is over looking the fountain and running water. There is balcony with plenty of tables around and indoors seating. The waiter escorted me to a beautiful balcony table. The inside seating is spaced out with wooden tables with bright lights. The weather was cool, rainy and foggy. It was a great time for a nice terrace lunch!. SEE video (55 seconds) of foggy weather in urban park. The Purple colored menu is filled with treats. I had Tabbouleh, which is chopped parsley with tomatoes and cracked wheat; it is served without onions. I had Hummus, which is Chickpea purée with lemon. I like hummus. It is healthy and light. My main was the popular Shish taouk with garlic purée; it is a Middle Eastern low fat recipe for marinated chicken breasts. The dish consists of cubes of chicken that are marinated, skewered and grilled. Common marinades are based upon yogurt and lemon juice or tomato puree, though there are other variations. The chicken cubes were softly cooked and tender and the Garlic purée was mild and tasty. My drink was the ever refreshing and mildly sweet, Jallab drink with pine nuts. Jallab is a type of fruit syrup popular in the Middle East made from carob (locust bean), dates, grape molasses and rose water. In less than 10 minutes I got my 3 orders. The service was quick and efficient. The food was fresh and well cooked; I had to go for my all time favorite semolina cake with cream (Mafroukeh). This classic Lebanese dessert is velvety and aromatic. The dessert comes with rose water syrup. The cream was beaming with fresh taste. The syrup was mildly sweet.
The beauty of this restaurant is the balance in flavor. The portions are moderate and great for one person. Nothing I had was too sour or too sweet or over cooked. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. I will surely go back for the grilled fish with boiled potatoes.
