Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Must place to visit specially in snow season.

You have to reach Tajrish through metro. Once you reach Tajrish square (few mins walk from metro station), go towards Eram Taxi Terminal and ask for Valenjak/Tochal. They will charge you 15k tomman per head. Taxi will drop you at gate of Tochal complex from here you can walk to bus terminal (500m walk). Here you can sit on small bus for 18k tomman for locals and 50k tomman for foreigners, this will take you to chair lift area. If you don't want to take bus then there is steep walk of 1.6km to chair lift area. You can purchase tickets with respect to stations (picture for tickets attached). I suggest to use snap and ask the driver to drop you at end point (chair lift ticket area). Note: They don't take cash so ask locals to pay through card and you can pay them cash accordingly. There is cafe and washroom at station 5. Please keep your tickets safe until you reach down as they check tickets every time you sit in cabin. You can also track upto station 5 or 7.

Great place for a workout, long hikes and a pollution free trails. You can hike your way to Darband from here if you are fit and can hike for at least 12 hours. Plenty of parking, restaurants and rides for kids.

This is a review for the Telecabin gondola that takes you to the top of the mountain. The cabin itself is old but feels safe. It is quite long and takes you from the city (which is at about 1700m?) to about 3500 m. The peak itself is at almost 4000m.
What i want to complain about was the ticketing, which was completely unclear as well as to which station were tickets necessary for pedestrians / non-skiers. At the ground station there was a price list as per Station (1-7) and prices for foreigners were different (much higher) than those for the locals. However, the problem was finding out to which station should we buy ticket for and the person selling tickets spoke no English and could not explain. Difficult to decide, when you have never been there. We opted for Stations 1-5 (or 6?) , thinking that the rest would actually be ski lifts which were of no interest as the season was almost at the end and we could not rent anything. We arrived to the Station 6 and realised it was wrong, we were too low and still had a long way up if we wanted to get to (almost) the top and see some snow. We somehow explained that we wanted to go up, stay for 30 minutes and go down again, just in time before the cabins closed. So the staff (which was helpful here) took us to the cashier where we explained it again and bought some tickets. What we bought is a mistery since the worker took those tickets and we never got them to try to decipher the numbers and what we actually paid for. Once on top, we enjoyed snow and when we tried to go back, we were ushered out of the returning cabins and told that our tickets were not valid (we still had only the ones that we bought in the valley). We explained what happened at the station 6 and were than told that it did not matter that we did not have tickets from there because they were one way only!!! They claimed that tickets sold there were always only for going up. We claimed that we explained that we wanted a return tickets and assumed that we paid for those too. But no, they wanted us to buy tickets for a ride back. In the meantime everyone was leaving, the cabin was closing and it almost looked like we were going stay there for the night, if we did not pay. In the end we had no choice but this ride was a super rip-off, most staff unfriendly and no one spoke english. Google translate worked a bit but still the problem remained and we felt super ripped off and treated unfairly.

If your are a nature lover you most visit mount Tochal in Tehran. You may hike up there or you can use the Tochal Telecabin. If you are lucky with clear sky you will have a wonderful view of the city.

Amazing hiking and scenery close to the city. Worth the effort to climb, although the ski tram is also an option for those who don't want to do the hard work.
