While eveyone was friendly and explained Islam and the mosque. It also felt a bit like a recruitment for conversion session.

The Grand Mosque of Bahrain is a place worth visiting for its beautiful architecture and the guided tour which is mandatory for all visitors. Situated near Juffair area of Bahrain, the Grand Mosque of Bahrain welcomes visitors from every faith.

Big Mosque and beautiful. You can visit anytime during your Bahrain trip. make sure you can't go as tourist during Friday pray.

We can here with our two young girls. Walked around in the mosque and took some pictures. Beautiful building with a peaceful calm to it as you walk around.

You can visit the place from 9am to 4pm, but not on friday or holidays. It is free entrance and free tour. The tour guy was amazing! He told us everything about the place and we could ask any questions from him. Also the silly...More

We did a tour of this mosque. The mosque provided women with Abaya and head scarfs if needed. I had never been in a mosque so it was very interesting to see it.

The guide was superb as he was ready to allow us to take photos, explain each minute details, answer all our questions. Equally fine at Arabic & English, great tour

We toured on Thursday... there is plenty of parking right outside . Most mosques do not allow tourism on Fridays as it is their main worship day
