mount nebo has biblical importance. place where mosses was buried.it is said that god showed Moses the promised land from here. one can see this from this point.the symbolic serpent with cross which Moses has taken into the desert

I went with local friends at sunset time. it was just beautiful! I loved the view it was very relaxing, and of course being with friends it was so much fun!

Mount Nebo is historically significant for both Christians and Muslims. The mosaics inside the church are incredible. The place is well maintained and the mosaics are worth a visit for sure.

Mount Nebo is really being taken care of by the people who are working there, they are keeping it clean and tidy , views from all directions is amazing , it's highly recommended to visit amazing place.

We visited and took a guide with its. Very good knowledge of history and added to the view and experience. Had to be seen to be believed. Worth a visit. Shouldn't take more than an hour or so but worth it off heading down kings...More

The site whrre Moses saw the Promised Land but did not enter. The church at the site is stunning. You can sit and pray or photograph it. Thrre are glass panels on ghe floor with earlier relics that can be seen

Opens at 7am but donot recollect the closing hours, i had been around the noon hours.

No special attire required at Mount Nebo which is not so much a church as a museum but always advise tourists to dress conservatively in Jordan i.e. no bare shoulders or shorts. Jeans and tee shirts are fine. NB that Mount... More
