The Jordan Museum is a splendid place to spend an hour or a full afternoon. I highly recommend it to first time visitors to Jordan. It provides a solid foundation for appreciating the rich history of the Levant and the country we now call Jordan. The building itself is gorgeous, very well lit and air conditioned. My taxi driver who... More

The Jordan Museum was an "add on" for our tour so we could see the Dead Sea Scrolls. Honestly, it was one of the best museums for history that I have ever visited - it was complete and we spent about 2 hours going through it and reading all the explanations (in Arabic and English) I was impressed with the... Located near Downtown Amman, this new Museum is very interesting! I have visited three times - I am hopeful that next year, the Gift Shop will be open! There are several opportunities for Photo Ops, short videos, and It is just a welcoming experience! Make time to visit! In one hour, it is possible to walk thru the entire Museum,... More

The Jordan Museum has exhibits that span from Homo Erectus to the present day. There's a lot to learn about the people, the region, the language, the cultures from this museum. (And it includes the Dead Sea Scrolls!)

The Jordan Museum hosts Jordan's portion of the Dead Sea Scrolls and a great exhibit for the Arab Revolution in the early 20th century. A great stop for history buffs as other exhibits highlight the ancient to modern history of Jordan.

This is a must see place to visit whilst in Jordan. It was so interesting, with rooms dedicated to different stages of Jordan's history, starting in the paleolithic era. There are English and Arabic explanations for each exhibit. The prehistoric statues in the first room are one of the highlights, another is some of the Dead Sea scrolls. Everything is... More

Great exhibitions covering human settlements in Jordan. I only had around two hours to spend which felt like too short.

This is an excellent modern museum, well organized, with a wealth of information on the history and cultural heritage of Amman. I decided to visit for the Dead Sea Scrolls, and it turned out that the rest of the exhibits are equally interesting and wonderful to see. I highly recommend it!

As the title already says, this is a great place to learn about the (very rich) history of Jordan. The exhibits are very well arranged and there are good explenations in englisch. Its a new and modern building with friendly staff, and well worth a visit.
