Tripadvisorβs approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went during the day and there was nothing there. There were a few old train cars. Two cafe/restaurants and 1-2 little shops. Otherwise all the shops were closed. Hardly any people. Maybe itβs a night spot, otherwise not worth stopping there.

Located between Old Jaffa & The Carmel Market. I wouldn't burn my TT=Touristic Time, especially just to go over there, but if you just happened to be there walking between Old Jaffa & The Carmel Market, then by all means, take a break and enjoy nice ice-cream & coffee and visit some shops on your way. Otherwise it is a bit out of the way to my taste and Time Is Money Especially When We Travel! You can do so much more in Tel-Aviv, rather then just kill time on a nice open mall.

We walked around the Tachana, nice restaurants and snack places, saw the old railroad exhibit, as well as the anatomy exhibit. It was a nice visit, but not a place to revisit anytime soon.

This old Tel Aviv train station was really very nicely restored. But after you've seen the old tracks and train carriages (5 minutes), that's practically it. There are a few high-end and very expensive shops in the complex as well as a couple of mediocre restaurants/cafes.So if you're on your way to Old Jaffa, you can stop at the Tachana, but if you don't have the time, it's no great loss.

A charming flute player greeted us at the entrance. Filled with fun shops and some cute looking restaurants. We ate at the Italian place with the English name. There wasn't anything that mindblowing at HaTachana, but it was a nice walking distance from our hotel, and the restaurants seem to be open late, which is nice when you've had a long, busy day and are interested in a leisurely meal. It was kind fo a ghost town at 9:00 PM, BUT we visited the evening after Yom Haaztmaut so my guess is that most Israelis are home recovering from the nigth & day of non-stop ruckus. I'll bet Israel is, in general, pretty quiet on 7 Iyar!

The old railroad station feature 2 wooden passenger cars of the turn of the century where you can take a couple of pics, the small station buildings and a couple of restaurants and shops with clothing and art items. You can spend an hour or so to relax for you next destination. We decided to eat in one of the restaurants and it was nice.
Overall OK.

Nice outdoor shopping area. Nothing great. Nice shops but really not great and over priced for what they are. There's a fantastic coffee bar that you should 100% sit get a coffee and soak in the environment, but other than that, I'd reco a quick walk through the outdoor mall and then walk about 5-10 mins to Neveh Tzedek which is a FANTASTIC shopping district. Full of flavor, fun, hipsters, families and very very cool shops.

It's such a pity that this beautiful development hasn't hit the mark. There just doesn't seem to be enough on offer here to entice people. There are lots of places to eat but there were 90 per cent empty. There are shops but they are very lack lustre and the main attraction of the station and the old train are just "there". In a country that knows how to make history "live" through interactive, fun, creative mediums, this one just hasn't succeeded. In fact, the IDF Museum next door is a lot more interesting! The Tachana is worth going to for breakfast and a nice walk on the way to somewhere else.

The Tel Aviv Visitor's Guide claims this is one of the hottest and/or coolest attractions in Tel Aviv. The newly restored railway station looks somewhat forlorn amongst a raggle taggle collection of outbuildings containing shops selling overpriced tat, some uninteresting rolling stock, plus the usual restaurants and bars trying desperately to be hip, and failing. To add insult to injury, parking the car in the adjacent car park cost us NIS 16 only to find that we could have parked there for free.
