walked with wife in the area and it just smelled so great - the small restaurants - the authentic old houses - the peace and quit of the area - highly recommend to explore .

This use to be the Yeminith quarter, today most of it is occupied by young rich couples, You can see new houses with some sea view. this neighborhood is right next to the food market (carmel) there are still some old restaurants with some great oriental food, it is very crowded and the streets are narrow lots of old vendors... I like this place, you almost feel like you are outside of Tel Aviv, very authentic, and has nice restaurants.

This is the perfect place to have a good Humus with the locals. This the main attraction. I recommend to ask the locals for their fav. rest.

Let yourself get lost in there in order to find all the gems, like the house covered entirely with seashells, the authentic restaurants run by old Yemenite women, cute little pubs, the graffiti paintings... And say hello to all the well-fed cats around.
