Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The creation of the Hebrew University on Mount Scopus was an objective of the Zionist movement. The University was founded in 1918 by Albert Einstein and Chaim Weizmann. The University opened in 1925, before Israel became independent. The Hebrew University maintains high academic standards in the area of research and teaching. The Hebrew University has won many awards, including a number of Nobel laureats. The Mount Scopus campus is notable for its beauty.

Two outstanding Jewish intellectuals, Albert Einstein and Dr Chaim Weizmann, laid the foundations of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1918. Classes commenced in 1925, before the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. The university is a public research university, the main campus is at the university's historic home, Mount Scopus. Whenever I have first time visitors to the country, I try to take them to the outlook on the side of the road at the university. If they arrive at night, it is a wonderful first view of the city. But, in daylight it is also a very nice way to start or end a visit. Recently a repeat visitor asked to go up there at night to see the city from above once again.

Nothing has been more constant in the life of the Jewish people than the love of learning, so it is no surprise that the Hebrew University was founded even before the State of Israel. The Mount Scopus campus, which was recovered from Jordan in the Six Day War, is truly beautiful. Mount Scopus regained its status as the mother campus of the Hebrew University, and the university is regularly in the top echelon of the world's institutions of higher learning. My daughter, who studied at the Hebrew University, says the university takes its academic studies very seriously, but that there is still time for fun.

The Hebrew University at Mount of Scopus is stunning. You can explore the Botanical Gardens, the panoramic views-Judah Desert on one side, Old City and the New City on the other side. You can see burial caves, unique vegetation and smell the fresh air.

If you like visiting other colleges or universities in other places in the world, Hebrew University is a must-see. Why? Several reasons: there are beautiful plants and gardens, art, historical artifacts, and all the classic feeling of a place of learning: faculty, students, lively discussions, etc. In addition, there are interesting displays throughout - of Albert Einstein (who was one of the founders of the university) and other past and modern day faculty innovators. If you are interested in Einstein, because he willed them to the university, it houses many of his professional and personal artifacts and writings (including his famous E=MC2 formula). Many places provide an amazing view of Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and the mountains of Jordan. In additional to the beautiful plantings, there is a botanical garden with well labeled plants, trees and other local flora. I highly recommend a visit!

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, known for its teaching, its research and technology, has many restaurants and coffee shops on its premises at Mount Scopus. Especially the Meyersdorf Faculty Club, known for its meetings of the Board of Governors, yearly Fellowship for students and visiting Faculty members is also known for its good food and ambiance at the restaurant with the catering of Sophie headed by Sharon Iluz and his chef Charlie Zini who knows everything about patisserie. It is thus understandable that Nathalie Elkaim-Assaraf, the supervisor of the Desk of Foreign and local University Connections and Festive Happenings is blessed with this duo and their sous-chefs and helpers. The tables, ready to guest the visitors, are a feast for your eyes and the food is fantastic, not forgetting the marvelous view on the Old City of Jerusalem.
