Our group of a dozen went through the wet tunnel. The water came up to mid thigh on me, and was not all that cold. At first it was fun and I was good with it. However, at one point the passage was not just...More

Amazing to see. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Not for the claustrophobic. Definitely worth the time.

After all the religious sites, try something very different. We did the wet tunnel and took head torches. I'm so glad we did because it meant our hands were free. Not for claustrophobics it does get quite narrow and low in places. I enjoyed it...More

More fun than I expected. Something different to the sight-seeing activities in the area. Not a must-do but would recommend it if you have time. Would only take an hour or so to walk down from the old city to the tunnel & complete the...More

Totally worth doing. It's not for the faint of heart though, I'm 6'4" (193cm) and it was pretty tight at points. The cool water is great to walk through. There is nothing like being in the tunnel though, to see a 2700 year old tunnel...More

This was my second time visiting Hezekiah's Tunnels, and it's just such a cool experience. I highly recommend going through it with a guide, because you learn so much more about how it was made, why it's there, and what a truly clever and miraculous...More

Walk through biblical history here. 2 Kings 20 and 2 Chronicles 32 mention that King Hezekiah built a water tunnel. It is 1,720 feet long. Water still flows through it. Take flashlight!

I visited this place with a guide, and it was good too. I learned many things that I saw only in the bible.

A guided tour is good but there isn't anything you can't read on the signs or go do this on your own. One thing to make sure is whomever had Shawarma and hummus the night before goes in last.....cause u don't want to be stuck...More

I am 61 and asthmatic. I had no problem at all in the tunnel and certainly didn't find it strenuous.the steps weren't bad at all.
