You will see a lot of stone buildings in the old city and this one is no exception. It is a monolothic structure with a private area behind and apartments beyond the property limit. It is also convenient for tour pickup and drop off points. We stayed one night in room 225. This is a 6 story hotel and the... More

The YMCA is a landmark building in the New City situated on King David Street just across from the King David Hotel. In addition being a recreational centre, the YMCA is also a hotel accommodation and iconic early 20th century building. Designed and built between 1926-33 but American Arthur Loomis Harmon, this was the tallest building in Jerusalem for some... More

Visiting this YMCA was very nice, not only because of the great cause and services it offers to travelers and the community in general, but also because of its beauty and that it has a nice coffee shop overlooking the marvelous gardens!

The building is beautiful and close to the old city. If you arrive by car there is free parking available closeby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were attended to by Hassan, who was very polite and made us feel at home. We also used the gym and swimming pool, which is nice in the morning before going... More

A very interesting building. We like to sit out on the veranda of the restaurant for something light to each.

We stayed here for 4 nights as a base to see Jerusalem. We arrived in a rental car and so delighted that there was free parking. The room was pretty dated, but clean. We had two single beds which worked for us. In the room was a kettle, tea, small fridge, large bathroom and two windows facing out to the... More

YMCA is really Jerusalem's best kept secret. Such a great place to see and visit! Good for a day pass for swimmers, for lunch or photo opportunity from the top of its famous tower. Remarkable historical building.

The rental car person suggested the Y for lunch where we had a very good sandwich and salad. Good choice. They also have a tower where you can pay to take the elevator up and get a view of the city form all 4 directions.

If you have time and would like to spend some time knowing more about the modern jerusalem during the 1930/40s then you have to visit this place. From the highest point of the tower you can have a perfect view overlooking the old city but also other different parts. The interior of the place is also magnificent with walls and... More
