My husband and I have visited the Western Wall Tunnels twice in past three years. We just marvel at how much the archeologists have uncovered of the fortifications of the Western Walls. The guided tours do a great job putting this underground experience in perspective...More

Many holy sites have sacred places hidden deep within their property with previous civilizations of centuries dating back to the Roman Empire to be explored. Many do not have handrails or are not handicap accessible. No elevators either.

One of the best sites of our tour. The underground view of the Western Wall gives one a feeling of the weight of emotion and history of the city above. Very impressive.

You have the visible Jerusalem that everybody visits and the invisible Jerusalem that few know of and that merits to be visited. You go underneath the current old city and more than 10 m deeper you encounter the Jerusalem as it was 2000 years ago,...More

I guess this is relatively new tour and worthwhile exploring Western wall tunnels under the old city and below the Muslim Quarter. Although not required better booking in advance.

Melbourne: The Western Wall Tunnel is like a cave, insulated against cold and heat. The temperature is moderate year round. It is, however, damp and the air stale. A suggestion if you plan to visit in warm weather: When... More
