Take a bus or taxi because walking there from the Old City takes an hour each way. Worth the experience regardless! Beautiful garden even if we could only encircle it.

There are many trees and some of them are very old, maybe more than 2000 years, so probably Jesus saw them.

This was a beautiful site, the oldest olive tree, we saw how the olive were picked and saw bags that were ready to be passed.

Viewing Olive trees that are over 2,000 years old really sets the stage. The trunks on these old trees are massive. Gives you quite the feeling

Gethsemane is a bit of a trip from the Western Wall- we got a taxi that seemed expensive. There isn't a lot to see although it was well worth the trip. The Church is spectacular inside with incredibly detailed mosaics on the floor and walls....More

Walking along these age old Olive trees and remembering the Bible and what Jesus prayed, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

The view of David's city and the Temple Mount is great. A privilege to be able to stand here and look at the city and reflect on events that happened many years ago.

The first thing that came to my mind when we approached the Garden of Gethsemane was Judas' betrayal of his boss at the end of the agony Christ went through praying throughout the night while his disciples slept. The garden still has some remnants of...More

Hello. I took a picture of the operating hours at their door. Summer ( April - Sept ) from 8am -6pm. Winter ( Oct - March ) 8am-5pm. We went there during early hours to avoid the crowds.
