This garden was my absolute favorite place in all of Jerusalem that I visited because of how moving it was. This is where Jesus brought His disciples to pray and where he felt the weight of sin and suffering for the first time. He felt...More

It had been quite an experience being there. Amazing how the trees are still alive, the site very clean and well-maintained.

To be where Jesus actually was on the night before he was betrayed, looking at the 2000 year old olive trees and reading the simple verses from the Bible gave a deep experience of the meaning of Jesus sacrifice for us.

Don't let the busyness of a tour rob you of a precious, holy visit to the Garden of Gethsemane. Take you Bible and read the account of Jesus' last hours. Sit and pray and thank Him for His sacrifice for you.

Hello. I took a picture of the operating hours at their door. Summer ( April - Sept ) from 8am -6pm. Winter ( Oct - March ) 8am-5pm. We went there during early hours to avoid the crowds.
