Plain and simple it all depends on your tour guide. Hava our guide was ill informed and lied to us about the gift shop she took us to say they had the best prices, we had visited many shops and this shop was the most expensive not the least. The tour company gets a commission wherever they take you. So... More

Egged buses are pretty luxe compared with what they used to be. More like coaches. You can even charge your phone, and there is Egged Wifi. Went there and back to Jerusalem yesterday, from Tel Aviv. With every bus that loads, another arrives ready to depart as it fills. No fuss, and very easy for 16 shekels. Blink and you are... More

They do not give you your itinerary until a week before you leave. They do not tell you that they farm out the tours to Bein Harim Tours which is wonderful. Egged Tours does not return your calls unless you get Carolyn's cell phone number! She is the ONLY one who knows her job. Our trip worked out well after... More

It's not a tour at all. You get picked up and tour on your own. The driver makes politically biased comments about places and the situation. He even got the facts of the places wrong when telling us where we were. I highly recommend paying a bit more and going with another company. There is no policies for changing or... More

I booked the tour through Egged Tours and repeatedly emailed Zanda Shlosberg to make sure we had the correct pick up time and location. She finally wrote and confirmed. We were supposed to be picked up at 7.15 am. They never came and did not answer the phone after calling their office repeatedly. Another tour guide 'rescued' us at 9... More

We had a day tour booked, confirmed in e-mail, and charged to our credit card. We waited at our hotel lobby, as instructed, at 4am. At 5:30am Egged still had not arrived. After multiple attempted calls and an e-mail to Egged we gave up. Egged never called us (they had our cell phone) or our hotel. Finally, hours later, they... More

We booked a four day Classic Israel tour with Egged. We had difficulty in gettingscheduling and pickup information. They didn't answer their phones very often, and we did not know what time our pickups were, where we were staying, or what the four day sequence of tours (they're a combination of one daytours) would be. They offer a 7 day... More

I bought a tour from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. First, my bus was late 45 mins and I had to wait outside the meeting point when I was freezing. They said is half day tour, but it took 3 hours to pick up people from hotel to hotel and we only spend 1.5 hrs in Bethlehem to come back to Jerusalem.... More
