Good friendly pub

This pub is ok if you just want to have a drink weather you alone or with friends and to watch football, the staffs are friendly and speak English and the price are reasonable.

A welcoming venue to catch your weekly Premier League fix, and the Killiney Ale and Beef vegetable stew was also great company on a cold evening! Live fiddlers and a friendly environment to party on with.

It's lost it's door fee, it's opened itself to the public properly and is so much more friendlier. I first came about 14 years ago and wasn't overly impressed. Been many times since (even had stag do here 13 years ago), however it was never my first choice when I'm in Taksim. Last few times I am liking more and... More

This is a place where our band's gig was spoilt by the manager of the venue by intervening during our performance on December 19, 2015, Saturday. I play guitar in a band called CORK which is a RORY GALLAGHER Tribute Band. And this had to be the definitive place where our playing for a Legend Irishman should have been appreciated... More

Tucked away in the Nevzhade district of Istanbul close to the British Consulate in a street famous for its Fish restaurants and Fish market this is a good alternative to local bars, and especially if you are an expatriate and want to watch English football, rugby, cricket etc. The Guinness is fine and the Bar Grub more than passable -... Rude and lazy staff Guinness tasted awful and the food was below average. I've been a few times now with friends but I won't go back again.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
