We took the ferry to Asia and back as we only had a few hours during our layover from Africa to the USA. A great ride, beautiful views with mosques silhouetted on both sides, the Mediterranean in one direction and the Black Sea in another. Enjoyable and refreshing!

While visiting Istanbul we crossed the bosporus river many times .it is beautiful and on one side of the river is the Asian part of istanbul and on the other side is the European side. Both give a beautiful view.

Europe meets Asia along this historical waterway bisecting the city of Istanbul. A boat trip along the Bosphorus gives a perspective of the meeting of 2 cultures, with many beautiful buildings along the shores of this historical waterway.

The Magic of Istanbul - the water which flows from the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea - the strait connecting Europe and Asia - incredible colours of green, blue, turquoise water reflections - my heart and souls open being on the Bosphorus!

Beautiful. The second night we went on a night dinner boat for my parents anniversary, it was brilliant. We also took a day tour which is when we really got to see the magnificence of this place. I highly recommend having a day tour if the night cruise dinner and entertainment is too expensive.

İstanbul is Bosphorus no doubt. Bosphorus is the strait ( not a river) joins Sea of Marmara to Black Sea and seperates geographical Europe from Asia... Relation with the sea sets up the culture of İstanbul. With beautiful palaces, mansions, castles along the strait enrichess your sense of aesthetics...
