Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were brought here by our tour group operator. The staff was friendly, but the small rooms were crowded and it was difficult for instance to really see the clothing they were selling. I think if you will be traveling outside of Tashkent, you do not need to visit this store.

Amazonist cultural experience with spiritual owner Lola and the hostess Jelena. They keep Uzbek traditions alive, with their warm and kind service. You can enjoy Uzbek folk dance show, amazing pilaf masterclass or just drink the tea and relax

Human House is a first shop in Tashkent which started to sell Uzbek art and crafts. You can buy here anything from local designer clothing to beautiful hand painted ceramics and hand woven carpets. I am a long time client of this place and would recommend to check it if you are in town and looking for a unique present to take back with you.

Among the bazaars and malls I visited, this is the place for something exquisite. There is a range of handmade items from local craftsmen. Though you may find similar items elsewhere, they are not as well made as what's found in this shop. It's not a big shop but it's fun to browse through the racks to search for the uniques pieces that catch your eyes. Please note that the shop does not accept credit card or foreign currency. Do bring enough local currency as there should be some interesting items you want to bring home!

This is a unique place for Tashkent, where one can encounter interesting people spreading knowledge about folk art and customs, traditional culinary techniques, oriental carpets etc. I listed the lecture about old Tashkent, another time there was a chance to find out more about Uzbek Soviet cinematography. I highly recommend spending there a couple of hours! Stunning!

The warm atmosphere of the old times and the kind people working here. They sell amazing clothes, toys and jeweleries made in national style. Very interesting meetings and masterclasses are held there. Special thanks to ms. Lola and ms. Antonina for their kindness, openness, sincerity and honest attitude to all the visitors.
P. S. Ask ms. Antonina for "Human-tea", I bet you'll love it :)

Owner sells clothing, bags and shoes her own as well as those of local designers. Be prepared to pay at least double the prices you may find otherwise. We found the owner a bit shrewd. She quoted us a price in dollars and then quoted us a very unfavourable som rate when we asked for the price in som (5500 som for a dollar whereas the going rate we received that very afternoon was 6200). There are other better places one can shop at within Tashkent and elsewhere in your travels in Uzbekistan
