About
This 500-year-old village on the slopes of the Margalla Hills in Islamabad was remodeled into a cultural tourist attraction and heritage site designed to preserve and showcase traditional Pakistani rural life. Explore the terraced mud houses, watch live pottery demonstrations, and visit the museum to get a glimpse of what life was like here. Experience the different cultures that coexisted here in harmony—check out the Hindu temple, Sikh Gurdwara, and Sufi tomb before feasting on a delicious meal at one of the various restaurants. The gift shops sell pottery and other handicrafts that make for lovely souvenirs. – Tripadvisor

An Interesting place to get to know the history of Islamabad. It is a small village with a small museum. You would wonder how the well-planned city as Islamabad came to be. And there Saipur village museum will give you some ideas.

Interestingly, in the entrance of the village, there was a good restaurant with very delicious food. You could finish the visiting the village and the museum in 30minutes or 1 hour. Then it is good to rest and try the delicious food and enjoy the view in the restaurant.

Well it was a family visit back in 2015.. Sorry there were no options to select year 2015 so selected the last option. We reached there around 3 or 4..visited the temple and then had lunch at the restaurant.. It was such a nice experience sitting close to nature and history. I would love to visit again.

A tourist trap with absolutely pathetic view and place . This place seems to be promoted by the guy who runs the restaurant. There is nothing to see there , went down with my family and we were just dumb folded by what the place actually was . I would not suggest anyone to fall into this trap . The whole place can be walker around in 5 minutes.

Been to a few places in Islamabad as a UK tourist but this was the worst experience. Very little to see, not worth the travel time. Ate at Des Pardes, ordered: 4 Seekh Kebabs, 7" Margarita pizza with chips, lamb Chops, Salad and Raita, Mix Veg handi, Ghulab Jamun, Brownies, 2 teas, 2 Pashto kava, 2 Pepsi, 1 7up and bottle of mineral water. Bill came to nearly 15thousand Rupees!!! Wouldn't have minded but the food was below satisfactory and to top it the waiter seemed like he just didn't care.

Avoid at all costs not worth it.

The place is described as "old Pakistan" and worth seeing. Basically, it is very dirty there and that makes the place lose its charm. There are many restaurants, but they obviously specialize in tourists and are therefore no longer really authentic. You can do that, but you don't have to.

Said Pir village was renovated and made a model village near Islamabad (hardly 5 minutes from Margalla Road. It has car parking and many places to eat and drink (though the quality is not that good). Apart from stroll in the village you can walk up the Margalla hill once you cross the narrow streets of the village. It’s a nice place for a short hike too. Overall a good place to enjoy an evening.

Dotted with mango trees and located at the foothills of margalla range, Originally a Hindu village with a beautiful temple, the springs around Saidpur village were considered holy.it is well known for its pottery products and a heritage site and a pictorial museum. At night the place is a real attraction with all varieties of cuisine outlets.

There are few places to get out and walk around in Islamabad, but Saidpur Village offers the opportunity to get out, walk around, see people, and wander into shops, restaurants, and galleries. This is a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon or evening — a stroll, a meal, a pleasant afternoon.
