A great view up above!

A short hiking up the steps, for a great top view of Ulanbator city! Good photo point for the city view also a very interesting monument and history.

Its a nice place to view Ulaanbaatar from the top, located in the center of the town, easy to access with car and a great view of city of Ulaanbaatar.

There is a steep climb up steps to the top of a mountain peak. At the top is a great example of Communist era art and wonderful views across the whole city. There are cafes at the base. It is worth a visit.

The locals believe that Ulaanbatar is guarded by four mountains that take care of their wealth, health, intelligence (forgot another on). You can see all the mountains clearly from this memorial.

Good view giving indication of overall city proximity, although new development does overshadow foreground of any pictures. Easy access with a few steps just to get legs active and heart pumping.

Great view of the city and surrounds, work needs to be done on the steps up and the toilet was out of order. The explanation of the memorial was great and this place was well worth the visit

We visited this memorial as part of an organised tour. The site is comprised of two sections; the tank and budha statue at the lower level and the memorial statue at the top of a flight of three hundred steps. You may "cheat" and get a ride to the halfway point of the steps, but will have to pay an... More

The view from the top is astounding and gives you a great idea of the city but the area is very touristy and full of hawkers and vendors. Good monument at the top though.

This is the best place to see the Ulaanbaatar city from up level in a whole. You can have exercise walking to the up and look around from the top of the Ulaanbaatar city as a capital city of Mongolia.

There are two parts to the memorial. The first is at ground level and is a very large, golden Buddah, standing alone in some fairly barren land well south of Ghengis Kjan Square (about 1.25 hours walking south), but is rapidly being surrounded by new developments. Already four housing tower blocks loom over the site. The second part is a... More
