The memorial is a gift to the people of Mongolia for providing material and other support to the Soviet cause in World War II. My guide pointed out the series of mosaic art works depicting the various efforts to defeat the Axis countries and the...More

If you have plenty of days in ulan bator and nothing to do can go, otherwise not interesting. Only 20 minutes walking from the center of Ulan bator. And can see Ulan bator from the top.

The view from the memorial over UB is great. There are a few steps to climb, however it is worth the effort. Apart from the view the old Soviet mosaic is stunning.

This needs you to walk up 300 steps which is not easy when snowing and very slippery but well worth it to see a view over the city of Ulaanbaatar. It is very moving to the Russan and Mongolian soldiers who died in World War...More

The colorful mural on the inside or the circle was impressive. Good views of the city make it enjoyable, especially for history buffs.

From up there, there's a good view of the whole city and it is interesting to see the Soviet- Mongolian relationship represented by this monument

Yes, take a bus #7 or any bus destination says to Zaisan then hop on it. Fee is 500mnt which 25 cents. Other option is walking to there is 20minutes from downtown.
