We went to the museum, but it had moved. Don't go to Rue Samsenthai. There is a new location for the museum, but we did not go there.

We are staying around the corner from this massive structure. It is not open for some reason, We will try again tomorrow. Looks very interesting and it is beautiufl from the outside.

I went by foot from the Crown Plaza hotel to this place. Surprisingly the museum is closed and there is a small sign at the entrance "closed, moving to a national location", unfortunately the new location is not mentioned... Too bad, building and surroundings looks...More

Looks like they finally have closed the Lao National History Museum in the city. The sign says "Closed - we are moving". But we have been unable to find any information about when or where it is reopening??

Just visited today took about 45-60 mins to walk round. It's very interesting but very run down which is a shame. Please don't let the look of the outside put you off, it's only 10,000 each to get in plus 10,000 if you want to...More
