It's amazing how some people are more equal that others. The Presidential Palace is a great example of just that. A majority of the country is in poverty while the ruling class just keeps helping themselves.

It's kind of a bomber that it's not open for public. You can only view it from outside the street. Definitely beautiful and huge but that's it.

My first time seeing this term "Presidential Palace". I thought only monarchs have palaces. Apparently I was wrong. But anyhow, you can only view this palace from outside of the fence.

The Palace looks quite impressive with substantial open space and immaculate grounds and lawns. My impression (with limited language) was that tourists are not to enter the grounds.

Beautiful building but you are not able drop in for a cup of tea ;- ) How rude! Only used for official functions, public unable to enter. Take a photo and move on!

It would be nice to be able to see inside the presidential palace but the gates are locked and we only get to see the outside.

They wouldn't let me go knock on the door, so didn't get to see inside ;-) It's location is probably within a short walk of where ever your hotel is - so, go and take a few photos!

The grounds were closed, so you could just view this from the busy street in front. Vientiane is not big on informational signs
