Fantastic views of the mighty Mekong, spent many a morning and evening traversing back and forth this delightful promenade. Great spots to see the buzzing lights of the boats passing by.

As all parks and green spaces have been turned into construction sited the Riverside is the only space to enjoy a nice walk without being run over by motorbikes or luxury cars.

this is on the riverside. There are many taxi girls hagging around this freakshow strip . The boats & ships of shame also hang out here .

Hung out a little by the river during my spare time. Fairly clean and safe during the daytime but not sure at night. Plenty to see

The sisowath quay runs along the Mekong river and is walking anything from 5 to 30 mins walking distance from many hotels in Phnom Penh.

The river is a dirty brown and is not particularly photogenic, but there are also stalls along the walk way and you can see locals and tourists wondering by here and just having a look. If you are in the area its ok for a look and they offer river cruises, but they are not really worth it as they dont offer much to see anyway

Here you can roam or just sit down and see the traffic on the river.
You can look at the gymnasts who show up, or the dealers who fight for the customers.
A tranquil place to just settle down

this morning the riverside security guards came out on motorbikes, six times two men,
and everybody sitting on a bank were beaten off, including a badly handicapped
girl, impossible to defend herself. what a shame operation from the government
ta tread people like during the khmer rouge. is the khmer rouge time coming
back to Cambodia.

It was suggested to us that we walk along here to see colonial architecture, enjoy cafes etc. In fact it was occupied by some rather rough and threatening youths and there was a terrible smell of sewage. Not recommended.

Which is the Boat/Ship dock to catch a Boat to head to Saigon. In my case it was to board a Pandaw Cruise. My taxi driver took me to the wrong place because maybe the address was not identifiable.

I knew I was in the correct place as porters were standing to help with luggage. I tipped generously because I was happy to see them. Also a relief, was to see the ship nearby, ready to board passengers.
