Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I arrive at the entrance at 9:30. On the sign it says that it opens at 10. I return 5 minutes before 10 but the attendant makes me sit down and tells me that the first trip will be in 20 minutes and so you ask me why it says 10 on the sign and not 10:20. In the meantime, another traveler arrives and we wait together. Two other men have joined the shed and they are speaking to each other in a loud voice as if we didn't exist. Around 10.30 I went to knock and a little reluctantly they made us get a ticket and calmly we managed to get the carriage to leave. It is not an efficient service. Sin.

The second day I came to this place (April 2-3) it was not working for an unknown reason. They said there won't be tomorrow either. Last days in Baku, it’s a pity that the workers are so careless about their work, the plans are a little spoiled. We asked those around us and they said that many people unfold this way...

There were conflicting infos about operating hours. So, here is the most recent schedule as displayed on Funicular doors: operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM six days a week with a one-hour daily lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funicular is closed on Mondays. It runs up from across the street from Bulevard near Deniz mall close to a spot in Dagustu park (also referred to as Upland or Highland park in some reviews) with a great panoramic view of the city.

Tried to get on the funicular a couple of times. The first time we came in tonight, it was already closed. The 2nd time we came this afternoon, and we got lucky. But I had to wait 30 minutes to get on the funicular. Because it was crowded. They let 20 people in, then they have to wait for them to come back. We're in the 2nd 20. Admission costs 2 manats per person per way. It takes 3 minutes all the way. We ended up waiting longer than we drove. There is a staircase near the funicular, which can also be climbed. Upstairs is an observation deck with beautiful views. We were coming down the stairs.

Zero signage other than closes for lunch !!! (1300-1400).
Actually fare 1 Manat (45p)
Surly service. Operator chats on mobile phone until departure. Exact fare cash customers plucked out of queue for speedy boarding. I wonder where that cash goes to? (Some passengers though turnstile; others not)
I wonder if smiles are extra?

This is my third time here. I love the experience and the view. It’s only one manat per ride. Don’t take tours. It’s too expensive. Their is a very good restaurant at the top with good food and beautiful atmosphere. It’s called Manzara restaurant.

We were with friends in September in Baku and of course took a funicular up the mountain for a visit to Nagorny Park. Directions -2 manat one way, running a funicular every 10 minutes. There was a small queue, but it was clear, the staff seated everyone quickly. Up in a minute or three. Back down on foot. We loved it.

After visiting Martyr's Lane and enjoying the panoramic views of Baku, it is convenient to hop on the funicular, which takes you all the way down to the waterfront. You exit close to the Carpet Museum. It's fun, saves time and is not expensive.

What a nice experience, cheap activity to do, apart from the experience that the funicular offer also it's ur best way to upland garden to avoid the long stairs leading to it, I would recommend to do it in the 2 ways with seating in different seats to get different views, and it's very nice , clean and cheap.

The Baku Funicular, a charming cable car system, offers an unforgettable journey to the top of Highland Park, providing breathtaking views of Baku's cityscape and the Caspian Sea. Whether you're a tourist or a local, this short ride is a delightful way to explore the city from a different perspective. The panoramic vistas from the funicular., are the highlight of the ride For just 1 Manat (approximately $0,60), you can hop on the funicular for a one-way trip. The affordability makes it accessible to all travellers. The experience is worth every penny, especially when you reach Upland Park and take in the stunning surroundings.
While at Highland Park, consider exploring other nearby attractions. The Turkish Martyrs' Mosque and its serene graveyard offer a glimpse into Baku's history and culture. Take a leisurely stroll and immerse yourself in the ambiance.
The funicular operates year-round, but the views are particularly enchanting during sunset or after dark when the city lights twinkle. Plan your visit accordingly to capture Instagram-worthy moments. The Baku Funicular is more than just a means of transportation-it's an experience.
Whether you're a photography enthusiast, a curious traveler, or simply someone seeking a unique perspective, this ride should be on your Baku itinerary.

Здравствуйте. Фуникулёр работает с 10 утра. Но не факт что вы подойдёте и сразу поедете. Иногда время ожидания отправления составляет около 15 минут.
